Manchester City linked to more ‘Outs’ than ‘Ins’
Manchester City could yet be quite busy in the transfer market and unlikely to finish their business before the season actually starts.
Savinho, 22, is a target for Spurs, with City in for Chelsea’s Pedro Neto, 26, if Savinho does leave. Chelsea probably do need to trim their squad because they've been very active with transfers in, whilst not moving a lot of players out so far. Chelsea as it stands have a squad size of 41. Wow!
Tijjani Reijnders, 28 is a target for Nottingham Forest. This transfer could be on if Reijnders thinks his playing time will be limited to the same as it was last season.
City have made a bid for Marseille and Argentina goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli, 34. This could definitely be a flag that James Trafford is on his way out to Leed Utd
OUR TAKE
Savinho is a 60% chance of going to Spurs, but Neto in from Chelsea is only 20% for me. City are blessed with Doku, Cherki, Semenyo and Foden not to mention newly signed Jeremy Monga from Leicester City and Ryan McAidoo coming up through the youth ranks. No need to sign Neto.
But Trafford is increasingly looking like he is on his way out. This guy should be playing in the EPL every week.
Spurs continuing to be linked to several possible incomings
Spurs are in the middle of a huge squad overhaul. We are likely to see a totally different Spurs this season compared to the last two.
As mentioned, they are interested in Savinho, 22, of Manchester City. No smoke without fire on this one, this move keeps re-surfacing.
They are also possibly interested in USA front-man Folarin Balogun, 25, of Monaco.
A longshot rumour is Cody Gakpo, 27, coming from Liverpool, although this would be a surprise if it did eventuate.
Jean-Matteo Bahoya, 21, of Eintracht Frankfurt is also rumored as an attacking midfielder option.
Nicolas Jackson of Chelsea has surfaced as a prospect again possibly for a fee rumoured to be around £65M, which is way above his current market value.

Not all of these rumours are going to transpire. So where is the real value? Paying way over the odds for any of these players would not be good business in my view.

The former Manchester United winger and free agent Jadon Sancho, 26, is looking at a number of clubs in Europe, Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. I think he still could have an EPL future though. Why are some lower positioned teams (in terms of available spend) not looking at him? Or maybe he just wants away from England?
Even with a current squad of 41 Chelsea are still on the hunt. Rayo Vallecano (Spain) left-back Pep Chavarria (28) is a possible target, although only valued at around £9M
Aston Villa are interested in a rumoured £30m move for Barcelona midfielder Marc Bernal, 19. He is valued at £26M. He is a defensive midfielder so not a direct replacement for Morgan Rogers.
