Shots on Target Table

If you don’t shoot you don’t score now matter how much possesion you have.

But shooting is not enough… if the shot is not on target then you still won’t score.

And even if the shot is on target you have to hope the keeper doesn’t save it or a defender blocks it.

Still… you can’t make chips (goals) without potatoes (shots on target) can you? (Mmmmm Chips)

So which team has had the most ‘Shots on Target’ (SoT) so far this season?

Shots on Target up to Game Week 11

Hot Takes

  • Sunderland’s defence must be pretty good because they are at the bottom of this SoT league even though they are 4th

  • Chelsea are well on top of the SoT table. If they can convert better will they start a charge to the top of the league, even if they do leak a few at the back?

  • West Ham & Forest should be further up the league than they are now (18th & 19th)… surely?

  • Man Utd do look like they have turned that corner from their poor start to the season… shuuush, whisper it for now ;)

  • Is Spurs league position inflated right now? (5th)

Final Verdict:

It will be interesting to see how close this SoT table is to the final league table.

Depending where you want to have a bet (or can bet because of your contry’s gambling rules) Chelsea are between 7/1 to 33/1 to win the EPL. I can get 25/1. Going by the SoT table I think those are good odds for Chelsea to take out the EPL, although my head says “take Arsenal fooool”. But I can only get 8/11 for Arsenal :(

I’m interested to see how this does pan out.
